GODWIN Abadaki’s hat-trick was a highlight as Northwich Victoria eased into the FA Cup’s first qualifying round at Emley’s expense.
He had already sent a shot against the crossbar before breaking the deadlock after 32 minutes, firing powerfully past goalkeeper Adam Lawlor at the second attempt.
Abadaki doubled his team’s lead shortly afterwards, hooking in from close range after the visitors’ custodian had parried Gary Burnett’s cross into his path.
Emley’s Josh Ingham then was sent off early in the second period as punishment for using an elbow when challenging full back Mo Ali.
Jim Gannon’s side made the most of their extra man, Abadaki completing a personal treble with a well-placed header from Bohan Dixon’s cross.
Michael Clarke added a fourth with six minutes left, this time from substitute Paul Mooney’s corner.
“Godwin took his goals well and we’re glad to have kept a clean sheet,” said Gannon afterwards.
Northwich will now host North West Counties League Premier Division promotion hopefuls Glossop North End in the first qualifying round on Saturday week, September 13.
