RESIDENTS in Winsford have teamed up to give their neighbourhood a spring clean.

A tidy-up day is being held on Rookery Rise and the neighbouring area in Wharton on Saturday, July 8, from 10am.

Resident John Malam, who is organising the litter pick with wife Hilary, said: “You’ve probably seen how the kerbs are overgrown with weeds and looking very untidy.

“I’ve been in touch with the Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Your Streets team and have permission to tidy the kerbs and do a litter pick at the same time.

“Thank you to all who have responded.”
