A DISGRACED former community hero who abused boys and a golf pro who downloaded indecent images of children were both jailed this week.

The two were among a string of Cheshire defendants to appear in court this week.

A ‘DEVIANT’ golf pro has been jailed after he admitted downloading thousands of indecent images of children.

Charles Cuff, of Drillfield Road, Northwich, also pleaded guilty to a charge of voyeurism after filming himself and a woman having sex.

The 56-year-old, who is also known as Bruce, also had dozens of videos of the woman undressing and in the shower, which he captured using covert cameras.

Man jailed and banned from pub after violent behaviour

A 34-YEAR-OLD has been jailed and banned from a Northwich pub due to his violent behaviour.

Matthew James Cornes, of Church Road in Northwich, appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 23.

He pleaded guilty to damaging property at The Penny Black pub and using or threatening unlawful violence.

Reveller admits stealing booze from Northwich bar and nightclub

A MAN has admitted stealing two bottles of alcohol from a popular Northwich night spot.

Charlie Connor Smith, of Lancaster Crescent in Hartford, was in Revival Bar and Club on the town's High Street at around 2.30am on Saturday, November 20.

The 23-year-old then went into an area of the club closed off to customers and helped himself to two bottles of alcohol.

Man admits fleeing scene of crash that resulted in two people being taken to hospital 

A MAN has pleaded guilty to several charges after he fled the scene of a crash in Northwich.

Mark Hammond, of Delamere Park Way West, had been driving a Peugeot 207 on August 3 this year when he collided with a Volkswagen Golf on the A49 in Weaverham.

A police helicopter was called into action after Hammond fled the scene of the crash, which happened just before 11pm, with the road closed in both directions.

Disgraced ‘community hero’ jailed after ‘systematically’ abusing two boys

A MAN once labelled as Knutsford’s ‘community hero’ has been jailed for eight years after ‘systematically’ abusing two teenage boys.

Chester Crown Court heard Kane Gunter, formerly of Longridge, groomed the two boys – the youngest being 13 at the time the abuse began – and filmed what he did to them.

At a previous hearing, the 56-year-old pleaded guilty to multiple counts of sexual activity, as well as making and possessing indecent images of children.
