BUDDING photographers are being asked to send their best winter or festive-themed pictures for a chance to have their snap used on a Christmas card.
Usually, Mike Amesbury MP invites schoolchildren from across Weaver Vale to send artistic designs, with the winning artwork being used on the MP's Christmas card.
The cards – which are not funded by the taxpayer – are then sent out to organisations including schools, charities and community groups.
But this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the cards will instead feature a photograph and the competition is open to all ages.
Mr Amesbury said: "This is a tough year for everyone and we've had to do things a little differently this time around in terms of how we run the competition.
"This is a great opportunity for people to help us spread some festive cheer.
"The competition always produces a great response and I know there are some very talented people in Weaver Vale. I can't wait to see the entries."
