RESIDENTS are being encouraged to plan for the future and help local families.

The hospice has teamed up with leading solicitors from across the area to encourage people to support Make a Will Week 2020.

Solicitors have kindly donated their time and expertise for free from Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23.

This means that the usual fee people would pay comes direct to St Luke’s for patient care.

A spokesman for St Luke's Hospice said: "Having an up to date will is incredibly important, irrespective of your age or health.

"It gives you peace of mind that your estate and belongings are distributed according to your wishes. It’s one less thing to worry about.

"On receipt of your finished will, make your suggested donation of £100, direct to the solicitor. The solicitor then passes 100 per cent of your donation straight to St Luke’s.

"By taking part in Make a Will Week, you can ensure you and your family’s future is secured whilst making a valuable contribution to St Luke’s."
