A MAN who was left with a broken nose and tooth following an attack in broad daylight is hoping anyone with information will come forward.

Chris Graham, 28, told the Guardian he was punched in the face in an unprovoked attack in Middlewich Road last Wednesday after he had tried to buy cigarettes from the Post Office.

He said: "It wasn't open so I turned back around. There was a car that looked a bit dodgy and someone was staring at me.

"I went to go round the back of the car, and someone got out and whacked me. I don't know why, I had never seen him before, I don't know who he was.

"He was in his 40s, I would say, but he did not say my name or ask who I was – he just whacked me. He was in a car with a woman and another gentleman but I didn't see anyone else around."

The Middlewich Road resident, who previously lived in Barnton, went to Leighton Hospital for treatment – including stitches for his nose – and is due to return for a follow-up appointment on Thursday, April 23.

Northwich Guardian:

"I don't want to go back out in case it happens again," Chris said.

"I'm still in pain, I can't sleep – I don't know if it is the medication but I keep waking with a dry mouth and a headache."
