WELL I’ve just been to see Star Wars Rogue 1 at the new ODEON and the film being brilliant aside, the new cinema is fantastic.

This town has cried out for a decent cinema for years and the ODEON did not disappoint.

The sound and vision were excellent, the staff were excellent.

We had a minor glitch with our tickets in the system, but this is the first day and it was so trivial and instantly forgotten due to the excellent staff service and pleased to see that Odeon have engaged local staff which is to be very much applauded.

The ease of getting into town, parking on ASDA and then walking 30 yards to this asset to the town, is again brilliant.

So can the moaners and groaners in Northwich who harp on and on about the good old days and the Regal now shut up and use the new cinema.

The past is dead and buried, whereas the future of cinema going in Northwich very much alive and moving forward with the ODEON.

The next thing is a push by the council and get the charity shops into the Market Way area opening up the then empty shops in Witton Street and High Street for restaurants and bars so that the area is similar to Knutsford.
