I AM writing in response to the letter from resident Jill Denton with regard to the play park on Leftwich.

As a result of a walkabout and conversations with local residents, myself and the other ward councillors have identified the issue of the lack of play facilities on Leftwich.

We have asked officers to provide a costed masterplan for the park.

We have identified developers’ contributions from small local developments and a local voluntary sector group has also offered help and financial support.

I will ask officers about the feasibility of a pool for Leftwich as part of this review.
