DEAR Cheshire West and Chester Council and Graham Evans, MP.

I have travelled every day since September from Castle to Lostock Gralam.

In the past three months this trip has become extremely delayed.

The past month has seen my trip take 50 minutes to travel three miles.

I also see more new houses due right next to the A556 (blue bridge) delay us.

I see 500 plus more homes in Winnington due, and no action to sort the current congestion.

I am now wishing to have action taken as this week my trip is now one hour. An average of 3mph.

We will never visit Northwich on a Saturday to shop due to the traffic mess, and don’t now shop at lunchtime in town.

This makes the regeneration of the town centre questionable as more houses are due on top of a town that can’t cope currently.

The Pure Gym/National Tyres roundabout and the road closures has led to a queue from the Toyota garage to the A556.

These plans are not workable and we want to know who is accountable for the this mess?

The new houses on the A556 have a huge impact on the road, and I don’t think the council thinks of this when granting more houses.

The road improvements should have a shorter impact on others, and the developers should not cause such delays.

The house should not be built if the public face weeks of delays.

The drive on the 556 near Roberts Bakery is now a danger to our driving, and the queue through Castle and the town centre shows that no more houses should be built.

Many of our residents are asking where is the Winnington relief bridge, and what plans are present to sort the current and future needs.

We have no faith or trust in the council and have written to our MP to voice our on going delays and concern.

I fear for the town, and the shops, as we won’t sit at 2mph every day, and know hundreds more houses are due.

We will escalate this to our MEP and ask for a public inquiry on all house building as we can not see any viable action from the council.

My partner and I and the entire business park where I work agree it’s now ridiculous and that no more houses should be built.

Please advise who monitors the council’s actions, is it still Eric Pickles?

Please let myself and our residents know of the action plan to stop the issues across the town, and the 556.

Please advise of the detailed plan for Winnington homes, and why we travel at 3mph for 45 mins each day for weeks?

Today it’s taken 55 mins to travel 3.2 miles, and I have decided not to shop at the local pet shop/ opticians/cafe any more and will use other towns, or the internet due to the mess of the entire town roads.
