ON SATURDAY night my doorbell rang and on my doorstep were two girls aged about nine years old. They told me that one of the girls’ older sister was running five miles for cancer and would I sponsor her.
They passed me over a piece of paper, which had about 15 names and address of people who had already sponsored her.
I pointed out that what they had given me was not an official sponsorship form, only an ordinary piece of A4 paper. I queried this and was told someone else had the official form and they would come back. They never did.
Is this a scam?
