NO sooner had the children broken up from school, than new school uniforms are in the shops.

Posters are everywhere, promoting "special deals" and all implying that September is almost here. It is not even August yet.

Give us all a break for a while and let the children enjoy their well-earned break.

I do not know anyone who actually buys uniforms until a bit nearer the time anyway.
