PEOPLE in Northwich must seriously question if Cheshire West and Chester Council is listening to their concerns about the ongoing congestion.
For two years now the residents and traders have patiently withstood the ongoing traffic disruption caused by the gyratory experiment now becoming the permanent one-way system.
Today the town is bracing itself for two more years of disruption arising from the completion of the Memorial Court and commencement of the Barons Quay developments.
As a local representative I have always supported the realisation of the Northwich Vision but have also cautioned that these remedies threaten to kill rather than cure the patient.
Spending millions of pounds on expanding a perfectly functioning roundabout or filling in a perfectly adequate subway, while the town is gridlocked every day without a wider road relief programme, suggests no one is listening, or worse, no one cares.
