WE booked to eat tea at Cafe Terrazzo and to watch Billy Nomates.
We were utterly amazed how talented a writer he really is. Because of his poor speech, he used actors to help read parts of his plays and they were as good as we have heard in any theatre.
And to think he was discovered by the Guardian.
His slurry voice added to the comedy as he told of his bizarre audition for Britain’s Got Talent so that he could write a play about it. We have not laughed so much for a long time.
The man has got talent and it is a shame that there is no show on television for writers.
Thanks to Cafe Terrazzo for great food, Billy for a great show and thanks to the Guardian for finding him.
