My brain hurts a bit. Work seems to be piling up like dirty laundry!

Information overload!

It doesn’t surprise me that I can only relax when I’m doing and being rather than thinking.

This is why I love nature.

Why I love growing plants. Why I love hot baths. Why I love making things.

Northwich has many talented people. I would love for their work to have a platform, to revive this town, to give the town inspiration and hope.

Projects like Rudheath and Witton Together are important because the community needs life breathing into them to dispel the apathy I see everywhere these days.

All too often the apathy has been justified.

It is my biggest enemy in the battle for community spirit.

Good News: Northwich’s Community Learning Champions have won an award as part of Adult Learner Week.

I’ll tell you more after I have gone to the do.

Two nights out in a year! Naughty.

We are trying to organise a Big Lunch for June 5th. Big Lunches are happening everywhere across the land. Another good excuse for a street party. If anyone has any ideas, especially recipes or games, leave your comments!

And hope we will see you at our event in June. Or organise your own, it isn’t too late!

This is a busy time for me as a Community Learning Champion as it is Adult Learners Week.

I will be delivering a computer training package to some senior citizens, and going to a couple of the events myself. The Zone has a brilliant Cake Decoration course on Wednesday 18th May, 1pm till 3pm. Please pop along if you’re free.

The chap running it is a professional, I have seen his cakes – they are amazing!

There is also a Card Making course on Friday 20th May at 12pm till 2pm at the Zone.

Northwich Library also has several interesting events such as a talk from a famous author to finding out more about your family history.

You’re NEVER too old to learn. In fact learning keeps you young.

And if you’re unemployed, a homemaker, or just have a day off work, try something new. You might surprise yourself.
