Why should I watch..?
After successive defeats without scoring, Northwich Victoria will be back to full-strength as they seek to spoil Runcorn Town’s perfect record to date this season.
Vics’ cause wasn’t helped by Sam Marshall’s dismissal in a 2-0 reverse against Abbey Hey last Saturday, and Paul Moore is keen for best version of his side to show up against one of the North West Counties League’s promotion-hopefuls.
Runcorn followed an FA Cup exit at higher-ranked Frickley with an impressive 1-0 win at Barnoldswick, where Craig Cairns increased his goal tally for the campaign to six in just five appearances.
Curiously, their three previous wins had all been earned by the front man scoring in the last minute.
What they’ve said
“In my opinion, the better side lost on Saturday.
“They were happy to camp inside their own half, and scored from two of the three shots they had at goal.
“We need to be more wary defensively, and learn to be more consistent.
“That will come in time though; I’ve always said that we’ll need to play at least 10 games before we’ve an idea of where we really stand in relation to everybody else.”

Numbers game
Runcorn Town are one of only two teams – newly-promoted Charnock Richard are the other – to still boast of an unblemished record in the North West Counties League Premier Division after winning their first three games.
Man to keep an eye on
Stuart McDonald
A supply line to Vics’ front two, Brian Matthews and Yaw Gyimah, was missing in his absence for Saturday’s meeting with Abbey Hey.
His ability to cross from the right has yielded goals for Paul Moore’s men already this term.
Vics team news
Manager Paul Moore is hoping to have a new recruit, a left-back, signed in time make his debut in defence.
Midfield trio John Bennett, Josh Kavanagh and Stuart McDonald, all missing at the weekend, are available again too.
Sam Marshall, sent off in that game, does not start a suspension until the weekend.
Familiar faces
Northwich supporters will recognise defender Danny Jarrett and midfielder Eddie Toner, the latter having signed for Runcorn Town in the second week of the campaign
