A FANS group that plans to start its own club in time for next season says it will need all the help it can get.

Northwich Victoria Supporters Trust members voted in favour of forming their own team last night, Thursday, at a Special General Meeting (SGM) in Lostock Gralam.

Of 145 votes cast, all but four backed a proposal to follow a new version of Vics from next summer.

“The trust board is hugely gratified and humbled at the level of support and backing the membership has shown,” read a statement issued this morning.

“But we cannot achieve this on our own.

“If we are to make the new club a success, we will need the time, passion and commitment of all Vics fans, not just the trust’s members.”

More than 40 per cent of the independent group’s members were in the room, while 62 others cast their vote either by post or proxy.
