Match pointers
WITTON host the Premier Division’s leading scorers on Saturday, opponents against which they hope to complete a double after winning the return match in October.

Albion were winners at Wincham Park when Stocksbridge Park Steels visited a fortnight ago, though they remain three points from a position of safety at the bottom of the table.

Dave Walker had surgery on a hernia on Thursday, so is ruled out along with long-term absentee Anthony Sheehan.

Neville Thompson, left out after scoring twice at Stalybridge in the Cheshire FA Senior Cup, is back in the squad along with central defender Ben Harrison after he recovered from illness.

Witton won last season’s fixture, ending a sequence of three successive defeats in league games against the Tigers in Northwich.

Worksop hope to include leading scorer Leon Mettam after he recovered from an ankle injury.

Jack Muldoon should feature, though Connor Higginson’s lack of match fitness may rule him out. Jack Adams, injured in training on Thursday, is definitely unavailable.

Mark Shaw’s men have lost only once on the road against hosts in the table’s bottom half, though they haven’t kept a single clean sheet on their travels to date.

They make up for that with the biggest goals tally in the division away from home; 42 in 15 games.
