WITTON Albion have accepted an offer from neighbours Knutsford to play a friendly tomorrow, Saturday.
The Cheshire League champions have hired a 3G pitch at Middlewich Leisure Centre to host the game after both teams’ scheduled league encounters were postponed.
Kick off is at midday, with admission free for spectators.
Donations from anybody watching the action, to cover the hire of the playing surface and match officials, will be welcome.
Witton had been due to host Worksop Town in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, but the game was postponed on Friday as their Wincham Park pitch is covered in snow.
Meanwhile Knutsford’s home date with Crewe, in the Cheshire League’s top tier, has been called off for the same reason.
