WINSFORD, losing finalists against Northwich two years ago, bid to reach the final against higher-ranked favourites Witton Albion tonight, Tuesday.
Blues boss Lloyd Morrison shuffled his pack for the last eight success against Lostock Gralam, but is likely to field a stronger side this time around.
His group did not play on Saturday – their scheduled encounter with North West Counties League leaders Maine Road was postponed – so will be fresh too.
Danny Egan is fit again after a groin strain, while Morrison’s squad is suspension-free.
Hosts Witton put nine goals past Middlewich at the last stage, when they fielded a back four made up entirely of students from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Manager Brian Pritchard is expected to take another look at the same players, particularly with a crunch clash against Worksop to follow at the weekend.
Matthew Cross will not feature as he has joined Clitheroe for match practice, while midfielder Steve Connors is still not ready to return after recovering from a hamstring injury.
