AHEAD of a fourth game in seven days, Witton Albion manager Carl Macauley is again likely to consider changes.

He made five for Tuesday’s visit of Carlton, and a further three when Spalding arrived at Wincham Park 48 hours later.

His side head to Gresley tomorrow afternoon.

Midfielder Prince Haywood (hamstring) is unlikely to recover in time to feature, but defender Michael Wilson (ankle) is hopeful of recovering from a knock sustained late on during a 2-0 victory against the Millers.

Encouragingly, full-back Matty Devine has come through two matches this week after returning to fitness again following a hamstring strain.

Meanwhile Macauley has confirmed to the Guardian that goalkeeper Danny Roberts is available, and is not nursing an injury.

He said: “We’ve had to be sensible, and look after players as best we can so they don’t pick up injuries.

“We’ve managed to make a handful of changes in each game, which was the plan.

“I think that’s helped lads, and they’ve had a breather where possible.

“Matty [Devine] is a good example of that; he’s had to be careful.

“The ugly side of that is Prince Haywood and Mike Wilson picking up injuries; they’re both big players for us, and it’s been disappointing to lose them.”

Hosts Gresley will be without Alvin Jarvis and Keenan King, both banned as punishment for their dismissals in a 2-2 draw away to Northwich Victoria last week.

Meanwhile Tom Manship (head) sat out last Saturday’s 3-1 home reverse against Lincoln, as did Laithan Hammond and Jon Stevenson.
