Winnington Park Ladies 3-1 Lymm Ladies 2nd
CAPTAIN Rhona Logie’s brace was the highlight of a victory for Winnington Park that secures for them a best finish since returning to the Cheshire Women’s League seven years ago.
They were third in Division One in 2014, but scored more points this time around.
The Northwich outfit took the lead last weekend when leading goal-scorer Jaz Barlow converted from a short-corner.
Logie’s double were both borne the same way, the first a stunning deflection.
Lymm pulled a goal back, but their hopes of a recovery ended when they had a player dismissed for bundling Elsha Rushe to the floor.
She sustained a head injury, and took no further part.
