LEE Suthard took first prize in Weaver Valley Cycling Club’s 10-mile time trial championship last week.
The former world masters pursuit champion stopped the clock in a swift 21.24, benefitting from a tailwind on Penny’s Lane.
Jim Duffy avenged being pipped to the runners-up prize by Dave Fearon in the club’s 100-mile event when he claimed a silver medal with a personal-best time of 22.29.
Fearon had to settle for third in 23.15.
Three other riders – Stu Ward, Jim Williams and Craig Lee – also dipped under 25 minutes.
Meanwhile Duffy was eighth in the under 50s age group during the Audlem Road Racing Series’ opener last Tuesday.
Weaver Valley clubmates Ged Lacey and Ewart Howkins both finished in the bunch in the over 60s category.
