RUDHEATH Social suffered a shock exit in the Mid-Cheshire District FA Challenge Cup semi finals to lower-ranked Winsford Saxons at the weekend.
Matt Jamieson had put the Cheshire League top flight side ahead, but Crewe and District outfit Saxons replied to take a 2-1 lead.
Cam Bradley netted for Rudheath with 20 minutes remaining to tie the fixture, but it was the Winsford side who progressed to the final thanks to two late goals.
Terry Cain, two, James Baldini and Andy Houston did the damage for Saxons.
Rudheath return to action in the Cheshire League at Crewe FC this coming Saturday, kick off 2pm.
