LOSTOCK Gralam made safe their place in the Mid Cheshire FA Challenge Cup last four after cruising past Cuddington reserves.
The Grey Lambs, never before winners of the competition, eased through thanks to trebles from Mike Butters and Ryan Jackson.
Dom Johnson’s double, plus a goal from Sam Wakefield, completed a 9-0 win against the Crewe and District League outfit.
“It was another good performance,” said Lostock co-manager Ross Speight.
“We controlled the game from the start, playing good football throughout to keep going our recent run of improved form.”
Their reward is a trip to Rudheath, victors at home to Winnington a week ago, in the last four.
A brace for joint player manager Kevin Towey was a highlight of Barnton’s 3-1 win at Cuddington the same day.
Anthony Wynne’s second half strike added gloss for the visitors.
The men from Town Field host holders Middlewich, conquerors of Rudheath’s second string seven days previous, in next month’s semi finals.
The Witches have won eight of the past 10 editions, including a 2-1 victory against Lostock in last year’s final.
