CUDDINGTON made safe a quarter finals place after edging Rudheath’s reserves by the odd goal in five in Group A.
Nathan Harwood, Oliver James and James Dean scored the hosts’ goals in a 3-2 win at Norley Road, a result that clinched top spot in the table for the victors.
Rudheath and Winnington, conquerors of Barnton reserves on Saturday, qualify for the last eight too.
In Group B, Matt Clarke’s hat-trick was a highlight of Rudheath’s six-goals success against Winnington’s second string, Michael Brandon, Stuart Tulloch and Gary Bryning hitting the net too.
Steve Capper’s men go through with an unblemished record after five successive wins, with Barnton and Middlewich Towns’ reserves emerging with them.
Cheshire League top tier pair Lostock and Middlewich enter the competition at the next stage.
