Set a target of 162 to win, they closed on 144-3 after opener Gary Edwards (61no) and captain Matthew Morley (50) had contributed half-centuries.

The visitors had boosted their tally by scoring 20 runs in the final over of their innings, which featured a pair of stumpings for wicket-keeper Graham Coull.

Oakmere remain on course for a return to Division B following a seven-wicket success at Bunbury, who they dismissed for 117.
