WITTON'S season opener was a tale of two headers.
Rod Thornley nodded home Mark Drew's corner on the quarter hour to put Albion ahead, only for Rob Pell to repeat his trick from Chris Davies' free kick shortly after the half hour.
Chances were at a premium after the break.
Witton's best moment came when Brian Pritchard headed off target from another Drew assist after the break but Albion - fielding no fewer than eight debutants - had to settle for a point on Nigel Deeley's debut as manager.
