REIGNING Cheshire County Cricket League premiership champions Didsbury dismissed Toft for 49 and went on to win by 10 wickets at Booth Park on Saturday, writes Mike Talbot-Butler.

Liam Booth took 6-12 and skipper Nick Anderson 4-20 in a one-sided game, Didsbury replying with 50 without loss.

A fine unbeaten 60 by Albert Pennington helped promoted Grappenhall to win by six wickets at Widnes.

Chester Boughton Hall came a cropper at Nantwich, losing by six wickets at home to Nantwich, for whom Phil Stockton claimed 4-32.

In Division One, relegated Oulton Park ran up 195-5 to beat Macclesfield by five wickets at Little Budworth.

Davenham were rained off at Port Sunlight in Division Two after the Wirral side had posted a hefty 201. Four games here were abandoned due to rain.

Hawk Green’s Elliott Young posted the season’s first century, his unbeaten 102 helping his side declare at 261-3 in the new third division. Warrington's reply never began as rain fell.

All Mid-Cheshire clubs fared badly.

Northwich were all out for 104 and lost to Barrow at Moss Farm, Davie McClements 78, Harry Vishwanathan 5-52.

Oakmere mustered only 86 and went down at home to Heaton Mersey, while Winnington Park were crushed at Upton by seven wickets after posting just 139.
