WITTON Albion have been paired with Chester, their conquerors in an epic FA Trophy encounter last time they met, in the Cheshire FA Senior Cup.
Carl Macauley’s men travel to the National League North club in October for a preliminary round tie following Monday’s draw.
Northwich Victoria kick-off their latest bid to win the competition when they take on Tranmere Rovers, who were promoted back to the Football League at the end of last season.
Barnton’s opponents at the same stage will be Alsager Town, a rival in the North West Counties League’s newly-formed First Division South.
1874 Northwich were awarded a bye to the last 16, while Winsford United enter the competition later as a reward for reaching the semi-finals last term.
Nantwich Town are the holders.
Dates for all of the preliminary round games will be confirmed later, although they are provisionally scheduled to take place in the week commencing Monday, October 29.
