OAKMERE are playing catch-up in the Cheshire Women’s League’s T20 following a nine-wicket reverse at home to Appleton last week.
After failing to fulfil their Western Division-opener against Wistaston last month, the Northwich outfit are bottom of the table.
They were restricted to 53-9 at Overdale Lane by Appleton, with Kate Skelhorn (26no) unable to rely on support from her teammates as Nathalie Long took 4-10.
The visitors cruised to their target inside 11 overs, led by Emma Barlow (28ret), with Leah Holland’s run-out of Annie Rashid accounting for the only wicket to fall.
Appleton, victors against Chester Boughton Hall in their first game, occupy top spot with two wins.
