NORTHWICH suffered a first defeat of the season in Cumbria on Sunday, when they travelled north with only 15 players.
The Women’s Championship North Two leaders lost their unblemished record too during a hammering against hosts whose heavier forwards had more power than they could cope with.
Blacks, shorn of too many of their better players through injury or unavailability, still occupy first place in the table ahead of closest rivals Ormskirk. Carlisle are third.
Northwich return to action next month when they visit Darlington.
