Match pointers
WITTON will attempt to win three successive league matches for the first time this season when they visit Blyth tomorrow.
Albion rose from the relegation zone following Tuesday’s impressive 3-0 victory at Buxton, their first clean sheet in a Premier Division match since September 6.
They have though only returned once with maximum points from six previous visits to Croft Park for a league encounter.
Jamie Rainford continues to serve a ban, while midfielder Luke Clark (hamstring) is hopeful of a return after missing the midweek match as a precaution.
Hosts Blyth occupy a place in the table’s bottom four, but they have played fewer matches than everybody else in the division.
They have lost only one of their past half-dozen league games, and are unbeaten at home since September.
Robbie Dale enjoys playing against Albion, scoring six times against them in previous meetings. Only Whitby Town have shipped more in games against Spartans’ captain.
