LITTLER Cup holders Moulton RBL A could not have received a more difficult draw to start the defence of a title they won last summer.
They have been paired with seven-time victors Wharton Cons A in the first round, a tie scheduled to take place at Winnington Park Recreation Club on Monday week, April 14.
The Winsford outfit, beaten on their previous appearance in the final four years ago, will need to overturn an 88-chalk handicap deficit to go through.
Elsewhere, Rudheath A’s head-to-head with Mid-Cheshire Bowling Association Premier Division rivals Frodsham Red Lion A at Kelsall is the pick of the other matches.
Beech Tree B, Hartford B, Hazel Pear A, Lostock Greylams, Middlewich RBL, Owley Wood C and Rudheath D will each be attempting to topple higher-ranked opponents.
