WINNINGTON Park’s sequence of five successive wins matches the form of Division One promotion favourites Lymm, who they face when the season resumes next month.

They recovered from a slow start to put seven goals past Bowdon for the second time this season, Karen Morgan cancelling out the home team’s early opener.

Skipper Eileen Miller converted from a short corner to put Park ahead, followed soon afterwards by Morgan’s second.

Goalkeeper Helen Hogben had to be alert at the other end to keep Winnington’s lead intact before further goals from Morgan, twice, and a brace for Leona Wylie completed victory.

Winnington’s seconds, following back-to-back victories, lost 5-0 at home to Bowdon fifths in Division Four.
