Stefan Bell levelled, before Joe Clarke broke the visitors’ hearts by claiming the winner.

Barnton Wanderers reserves’ Nathan Lang claimed five of his team’s eight strikes as they progressed at the expense of guests Prestbury after extra time.

The teams shared eight goals in normal time before the Northwich-based hosts notched four more in the added half hour.

Prestbury’s Dec Fletcher followed his hat-trick against Sandbach Town in the previous round with another treble.

Club AZ are through to the last eight too after sending out their hosts AFC Alsager thanks to goals from Scott Meszaros and Steffen Backer.
