A THIRD successive draw for Winnington Park maintained their unbeaten start to the season in North League Division Two West after they shared the points with Liverpool Sefton on Saturday.
Oli Wilkes and Paul Stackhouse gave Park a two-goal interval lead, but the visitors surrendered their advantage in the second period.
Goalkeeper John-Paul Dodd made a smart save early on before Winnington grew into the game with Tom Hughes and Sam Cloake influencing the midfield.
Wilkes opened the scoring after Hughes and John Stackhouse had combined, Paul Stackhouse doubling their lead shortly afterwards from close range.
However their luck changed when Mike Dodd was forced off injured, the home team restoring parity with two goals – one from a penalty stroke – to earn a point.
Park’s seconds drew at home to Llandudno in North West League Division Four South, Tommy Hill, Jack Millington and Mark Smith scoring in a 3-3 tie.
