PUPILS at a Hartford school have had their achievements recognised at an awards evening.

Hartford CE High School’s award evening, which took place on November 14, saw headteacher Mike Holland pay tribute to the school’s class of 2012 and 2013 leavers.

He also thanked guest speaker Dr Beri Hare OBE and prize giver Daniel East.

He said: “Your results were outstanding – in every key area you exceeded your targets.

“Every single one of you has the college place you wanted.

“At a time when some politicians are trying to undermine the value of your achievements, I want you to know how proud of you all I am, for your hard work, dedication to your studies and your commitment to excellence.

“You have responded to our expectations and the opportunities offered superbly in lessons, in sport, in your contributions to the wider community.

“So we have confidence in knowing that you will be making positive and successful contributions to society in your time after school – cherish your memories.”
