Warmingham WI by Maggie Hannon

Warmingham WI’s year continues as a busy one, joining in fully with the national centenary and Cheshire, 95 years celebrations. As a notable part of the celebrations, three members are heading off to Buckingham Palace for a Royal garden party in honour of the occasions.

The National AGM is being held at the Royal Albert Hall in London in June and relayed to members around the country. In preparation, the recent meeting contained an informed debate about the resolutions that will be on the AGM agenda.

In between meetings the range of activities has included regulars like the monthly walk and the book group. Preparations are well under way for the Cheshire Show and Nantwich Show.

The next meeting on at 7:30pm on Wednesday, June 3 will focus on the life of a lingerie designer with guest speaker Rowena Lovatt. Visitors are always welcome, without having to commit to joining. Meetings take place in Warmingham Village Hall (CW11 3QN) on the first Wednesday of each month.
