Whitegate WI by Alison Gardner

The recent meeting at Whitegate WI began with an amusing talk by Willie Sarson on Crystal Dowsers. Dowsing was traditionally believed to identify the sex of an unborn baby by dangling a needle on a thread and watching which way it spun. Pendulums are one tool for dowsing but several kinds of rods are also used.

The most familiar use is for locating water or mineral deposits. Tools are supposed to respond to energy and magnifying the vibrations of subtle energy so that they can be more easily noticed.

He supplied a selection of pendulum crystals for members to have a go at dowsing themselves. By suspending the pendulum crystals over their hand, the crystal gives a response to questions asked by spinning one way for yes and the other for no. Members had fun testing out the theory with varying success.
