Chairman Heather Casson welcomed members to the January meeting of the Wednesday Club.
Heather then introduced the speaker for the meeting, Ray Rush. Ray was dressed in a white shepherd’s smock and farmer’s hat, and gave a most enlightening and entertaining talk entitled, “Fairs, Feasts and Festivals”. We well as being very informative and humorous, Ray encouraged audience participation which was enjoyed by all with much laughter.
On display was a wonderful display of corn dollies all handmade by Ray. Jean Harrop gave the vote of thanks saying that a really enjoyable afternoon had been shared by all.
The next meeting will be on February 11, with a Bring & Buy sale. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
