Members of Northwich Soroptimists donned orange garments at their November meeting to show their support for the United Nations Day to Eliminate Violence against Women. November 25 is the start of 16 days of action to end gender based violence. Orange is the colour chosen by the United Nations to mark the period, and the Empire State Building is currently lit in orange as is the UN headquarters in New York.
