President John Hill welcomed members and eight guests to the recent meeting of Warrington SC Inter Club which had a political theme “What I would do, if I ran the country”.

Three members spoke on the hot topics of the day, Election looming. Eric Jennings on ‘Law & Order’ Patricia Linton on the ‘NHS’ and Frank Riley on ‘Immigration’. The presentations were informative, hard hitting and in parts, controversial.

There followed a ‘soap box' style presentation by a guest on the irritations of sales calls to his home.

The meeting was completed with two minute Topics session on selected topic of the day.

Guests and new members welcome at the next meeting in the Village Hotel on Thursday, November 13. Or you can join their popular ‘Effective Speaking Course’ for helping people for business or social occasions in Great Sankey on Wednesday evenings.
