A PROJECT which allowed mid Cheshire youngsters to delve into the world of film making has been heralded a success by its organiser.

And now the fruits of their labour can be seen on the Guardian website in these three short films.

During the summer holidays, youngsters from across the area were invited to take part in the Enormous Adventures in Film project at The Zone in Northwich.

Directors from the Liverpool production company helped the nine youngsters, aged between 13 and 16, to create three short films about recycling, litter and energy.

Organised by Sue Harrop, community development coordinator, the aim of the project was to engage young people in the issue of their local environment.

She said: "We were trying to get the young people of Vale Royal to see that looking after the environment is important and litter really is a problem."

The three films, entitled Global Warming, Don't Let Your Litter Haunt You and Recycle can be viewed online at here
