TWO of Northwich’s anti incineration groups will team up for a special public meeting.

Members of Cheshire Anti Incinerator Network (CHAIN) and Stop Incineration in Disguise (SID) have joined forces to oppose plans for an energy from waste plant, in Lostock.

The application by Tata Chemicals Europe, formerly Brunner Mond, details proposals for a sustainable energy plant to process 600,000 tonnes of waste per year.

It will be decided at a public inquiry.

The groups will be holding an open evening tomorrow, Thursday, from 7pm, at Northwich Victoria Football Club.

World-renowned anti incinerator expert Prof Paul Connett will be on-hand to talk about the issue and SID and CHAIN members are strongly encouraging residents to attend.
