NORTHWICH’S bonfire night celebrations for 2009 have been announced.

The event, jointly organised by Northwich Round Table and Northwich Rotary Club, takes place on Saturday, November 7 at Verdin Park.

The gates to the park will be opened at 5.30pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm. The display of fireworks – costing £4,500 – will begin at 7.15pm.

There will also be a funfair with refreshments.

The entrance fee is £5, with children being charged £2.

All proceeds go to local charities and with staff on the night giving their time free of charge the Round Table make sure that every penny it makes on the night goes to charity.
