CHILDREN have proved to be real characters while treading the boards in Davenham this summer.

A group of youngsters took part in a Pocket Panto summer school which culminated in a performance of Aladdin on Friday.

The summer school was held at Davenham Players’ Theatre, in Church Street.

Darren Johnson, director of Pocket Panto, said: “When we first sit down to plan a Pocket Panto workshop, we are never entirely sure what the final outcome will be.

“I think I can speak for all the facilitators involved in this week’s workshop that we were enormously impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the five young people involved in our first summer workshop at the Davenham Players’ Theatre.”
