AN arson investigation has been launched over a house fire in Middlewich.
Three fire engines from Middlewich, Northwich and Winsford fire stations attended the incident yesterday evening, Saturday.
Crews attended Falcon Close at around 6.45pm after receiving reports of the blaze in the kitchen, as well as a fire in an outbuilding.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the cause of the fire is suspected to be deliberate ignition.
In a statement, they said: “Crews were called to extinguish a fire involving a kitchen and outbuilding of a house on Falcon Close.
“Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. A high-pressure fan was also used to clear the smoke.
“The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.”
