Secondary School Teacher of the Year

This teacher needed to inspire and engage pupils in order to help them achieve their full academic and social potential. The winner of our top teacher category has made an exceptional contribution to the school or college they work in and goes over and above to provide the best opportunities for the children they teach.

Winner: Verinder Salh at Weaverham High School

WHEN a member of staff is engaging and encouraging, supportive and caring and has an infectious passion for teaching and learning it’s clear they’re an effective teacher.

Verinder Salh at Weaverham High School embodies all of these qualities and she is the winner of our Secondary School Teacher of the Year 2024.

Business studies teacher Verinder was praised by pupils and parents alike and headteacher Clare Morgan agreed calling her “an outstanding practitioner in every regard”.
