Lifetime Achievement Award

This prestigious award was open to nominations from pupils, parents, school staff and teachers as we looked to honour a person who has had a significant and positive impact on education in Mid Cheshire, whether recently through the coronavirus pandemic or over a number of years.

Winner: Alison Lawson – executive head teacher at Barnton Community Primary School and Nursery

THE winner of our lifetime achievement award has given almost two decades of her working life and career to children in Barnton.

Alison Lawson has been committed to Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School for 17 years, becoming headteacher and now executive headteacher.

Her goal has always been to put the children first and provide them with the very best possible education.

Alison successfully designed a curriculum which is progressive, engaging and has been shared not only in Barnton, but with schools across Weaver Trust.

Alison has championed a community hub project, where services such as family learning, combating social isolation, and access to support networks are available for the wider community, in a safe and friendly environment.
