A WOMAN escaped serious injury after a car crashed and ended up on its side.
The collision happened on Runcorn Road in Barnton, shortly after 6pm on Thursday, December 6.
Residents said they ‘heard the crunch’ and ran out to help.
One man called the emergency services.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The collision involved one vehicle which was on its side.
“One woman is believed to have suffered minor injuries.”
The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered and reopened at around 7.15pm.
